$2,500.00

This is my mashup of the film "Back to the Future" and the classic 80s ad campaign for Maxell audio cassette tapes called "Blown Away". This came about as I was revisiting the first film in the series. The whole opening wherein Marty jacks into Doc's suped up amp and blows himself across the room is an iconic moment from a film filled with iconic moments. It was tickling something in the back of my head. I finally realized that it was reminding me of the old Maxell ads that were everywhere back when BTTF came out. Once I made the connection, the whole thing practically painted itself. The painting has elements from both BTTF 1 and 2. Marty's whole look from the glasses to the guitar pick is drawn from the first film. I chose to put Doc into his get up from the second film as I thought it was more "Rock and Roll" than his Tyvek jumpsuit.
